The House in Kinshasa is a 1294sq.m. home is situated in a prime area of Kinshasa with views of the Congo river and the bridge connecting Kinshasa and Brazzaville from the roof deck. The steel, glass and concrete house is turned 45֯ towards the corner of the stand.
The House in Kinshasa is a corner stand the main entrance from the street is separate from the entrance to the 10-car garage in the basement, where a lift connects the 4 floors. From the street an off-shutter concrete and a stone clad wall is visible with a steel pergola floating over the 3rd storey.
At the entrance a 3-car porte cochere is supported by slanted columns with concrete stepping stones over a water feature. Looking through the 3-storey high entrance hall a water feature with the pool behind it is visible.
The study is accessible from the parking area but also from the house. In the same formal and public wing as the study is a prayer room, a private lounge, a large formal lounge and two guest suites.
In the opposite wing are the family areas, with the dining room connected to the kitchen by a butler’s pantry. The double volume family room is open plan to the kitchen and the informal breakfast room and flows onto the lanai. A home theatre is situated off the hall.
On the first floor there are three kid’s suites and a pyjama lounge connected by a bridge across the hall and family room with the main suite.
On the second floor are a large gymnasium connected to a massage room and a covered roof terrace with small bar, kitchenette and a bathroom.
A staff cottage is located separately from the house in the rear corner of the property.
