Residence Phakalane, situated within a private eco-estate in Gaborone, Botswana, is a contemporary architectural project that harmoniously blends steel, concrete, and aluminium panels. These materials are thoughtfully integrated to create a distinctive aesthetic, setting the structure apart from its neighbouring buildings.

The design strategically positions the main entrance on the northern side of the site, with a driveway guiding visitors to a parking courtyard located at the southern end of the property. This arrangement maximises the northern area and lush gardens and landscaping enhance the connection between the building and its natural surroundings.

Architecturally, the residence features mono-pitched roofs and clerestory windows, which are meticulously designed to channel natural light into the interior spaces. This thoughtful use of light creates an airy, open atmosphere throughout the building, emphasizing its connection to the environment, while maintaining a sense of spaciousness and tranquillity.
