Oyster Bay Residence is in the affluent coastal neighbourhood of Oyster Bay, north-west of Dar es Salaam’s central business district, along the Indian Ocean. 

The design comprises of 6 luxurious bedrooms and spacious open-plan living areas which spills out onto the tropical indigenous gardens. 

Materials were carefully selected to compliment the context, using locally sourced natural limestone cladding for the solid elements on the ground floor level, and light aluminium screens in a weathered steel patina on first-floor level. 

For flexibility of light exposure and privacy control; the façade is made transformable with these moving screens.

The building is primarily north-facing to allow for comfortable habitable spaces throughout the year.
