This new residence is situated in the prestigious Zimbali Coastal Estate which boast spectacular vistas of the Dolphin Coast.
The building is integrated within the site, whilst still retaining the natural indigenous vegetation. The overall design reflects the prescribed style of the estate with the characteristic “Bali-style”- roof floating effortlessly over. This traditional style was broken by the introduction of contemporary off-shutter concrete elements, which created a good sense of depth on the facades. These rigid elements were softened with the introduction of planters and hardwood timber screens.
The house was designed over 3 levels, with entry to the steep sloping site from the basement level, which houses the garages and services. The ground floor was dedicated to open plan living and entertainment areas, whilst the first storey for the private bedroom suites.
