This house is a 560sq.m that presents an abstract composition of wood, off-shutter concrete, steel, and glass, with some walls clad in stone.
The site is a 1308 sq.m. in extent with the street on the west side almost two-meter lower than the ground level at the building line where the garages are situated. Due to the fall from the east to the west side of the site, the house steps down the site to fit it in the height restriction.
Sliding full height garage doors opening directly to the street cover a three-car garage. Stepping stones over a water feature leads to the oversized glass front door.
Inside a double volume hall, a guest bedroom leads off to the north, followed by a study behind glass sliding doors and then an open plan formal lounge three steps higher. Another 3 steps up is the open plan family room, dining room, and kitchen. These rooms lead to the lanai and two pools through frameless folding and stacking doors.
On the south side of the family room, a staircase leads up to the first floor over a large water feature with a podium for a sculpture in the middle and a wide waterspout falling into it.
A bridge across the double volume family room connects the main suite with the pyjama lounge and two kid’s bedrooms. All the bedrooms and bathrooms lead to private balconies on the north side.
