The Edile 02 Residence is conceived as a fragmentation of mass — volumes pulled apart to admit light, air, and landscape into the spaces between. The house does not sit upon its site; it extends into it, its staggered footprint dissolving the boundary between architecture and garden through a series of protected atriums and water-edged thresholds.

Arrival is deliberate.
A blade canopy — razor-thin, dramatically cantilevered — reaches outward to frame the double-volume entrance beyond. Heavy chamfered concrete walls flank the approach, their weight and texture grounding the composition as a walkway over water draws you across the threshold. The procession is architectural; the transition, felt.

The formal language is built on contrast. Raw board-formed concrete anchors the vertical, while steel roof planes float above — sharp, horizontal, weightless. The street façade is a deep-relief square grid screen that filters light and gaze alike, dissolving at night as warm light washes upward through its geometry.
Cascading tropical planting softens every edge.

It is a residence simultaneously rooted and expansive — heavy where it must be, light where it chooses to be.
