Casa Blu
Casa Blu
Casa Blu, Perched above the tranquil waters of Kneža Bay on the northern coast of Korčula Island, Casa Blu is immersed in a landscape of rolling hills, olive groves, and dense Mediterranean vegetation. The design draws its inspiration from the island’s centuries-old dry stone walls, hand-laid without mortar; these enduring structures have long shaped the terrain into terraced plots, protecting crops and preserving soil.
At Casa Blu, this vernacular language of stone is reinterpreted to define the terracing, fragment the massing, and root the architecture within its rugged coastal setting. The result is a contemporary retreat that responds sensitively to its cultural and environmental context, framing views across the Pelješac Channel while embracing the island’s timeless craftsmanship and natural beauty.
