The design intent was to ensure a better flow between spaces within the redesign and to create a more contemporary look and feel.

This was achieved by creating a more coherent flow between the working and living spaces towards the outdoor entertainment area, whilst being sensitive to the privacy of the bedroom wing.

Uninterrupted views towards the landscape in the distance, with the Witbank dam being the focal point, became central. Interest was further created through the geometric roof and detailed screens.

The screening elements became two-fold; to provide good sun control and ensure a division between private and semi-private spaces.
